Quinta Da Samoqueirinha

I reserved at 22h to stay the next night in this hotel, when I saw I mistakenly had reserved the same night as when I made the booking, so the night before arrival, they refused to pay me back any money for the reservation I had just made hours before. They said they could not pay anything back because of the booking platform, altough booking platform said they contacted the accommodation and that the latter refused to pay any money back. I was really wanting to stay there, but they will never have me as clients in the future. Money is not everything.

This is a fabulous place for the spring and summer, the pool looks so inviting and I am sure if you come with young kids they will have the best time ever, I love animals and for me taking the leftover food and giving it to the chickens and the pigs was such a great experience, the staff were incredibly friendly and kind and everything was clean, what I didn't like is there is no Aircon so not sure what happens in the summer, we used radiators to heat up and that was fine, there are a few things that could be improved easily like providing us with a new cleaning sponge and non- diluted cleaning detergent, coffee, salt and suger..(small things with a big impact), they offer laundry service for €10 for a bag, that seems reasonable to me. There wasn't much to do and perhaps it's the time of the year,we did take a car drive to one of the close beaches and it was beautiful and the waves were so high it was spectacular. We even stopped for a coffee and cake in one of the small coffee places and spent €2 on 2 coffee and 2 slices of cake!! All in all, it's a fabulous place to be when it's warmer and we had a lovely time. Thank you
